Wua Laen Beach
This beach is
in village No.8, Sa Phlee Subdistrict far away 18 kms. from Pa Thiew
District by asphalt road and 16 kms. from city center. The name of
this beach comes from a legend about a magic wild bull who, after
being subdued by the hunters, came back to live while being skinned
and run away into the forest. So, the hunters named this beach "Thung
Wua Laen" meaning "Running Bull field."
This beach is
about 20 kilometers away from Muang Chumphon Municipality a long highway
no. 4119 and 4099. It's large beach with front sea restaurants. Around
the corner, there is the Monument of admiral Phra Boromawongthir Khromluang
Chumphon Khet Udomsak who found the Royal Thai Navy. This is a scared
place of the people in Chumphon and nearby province.
Hat Sai Ri
This scenic and popular beach is about 20 kilometres from Chumphon
by highways no.4119 and 4098. There are bus services from town to
the beach. It is a large and curved beach and is favorite among
the Chumphon people for their relaxation. There are some accommodations
and restaurants available along the beach.
Being a small limestone island with two big
caves, around the island, there are viewing points for corals and
Ko Ngam Yai
and Ko Ngam Noi
Being in the south of Ao Thung Wua Laen, seventeen kilometres from
the shore, there are coral reefs, rocks, and underwater caves.
Tham Khao Kriap
This is one of the most beautiful caves in the south. It is 85 kilometres
from Chumphon along highway no.4 (Chumphon - Lang Suan),

This festival is held in mid-March to April every year at Hat Sai
Ri. The objective of this festival is for tourism promotion and

Annually held in August, the activities of this event are fruit
contest, fruit market, preserved-fruit products, and competition
for queen of the fruit contest.
